| Аннотация | В работе обсуждается одна из особенностей грамматики конструкций с присоединённым вопросом в английском языке - их пунктуационное оформление. На примерах предложений, подобранных из художественных произведений различных исторических периодов, показаны изменения, происходящие в пунктуации присоединённого вопроса. В круг рассмотрения включены произведения британских авторов XVI-XIX вв. Показана связь между графическим представлением и интонированием конструкции с присоединённым вопросом, а также изменение этой связи, происходящее в процессе исторического развития. |
